NDIS support in Lockhart River
Eunoia Lane provides person-centred NDIS support in Lockhart River, working with people with disability, families and carers to plan support around individual goals, culture and everyday life. Lockhart River is a remote community on the east coast of Cape York Peninsula, about 800 kilometres north of Cairns.
Support planned with local context in mind
Lockhart River is home to Traditional Owners from six language groups, including the Kuuku Ya’u people. We take time to listen to each participant and the people important to them, and to discuss communication preferences, cultural considerations and the connections that matter in their community.
Road access and water crossings can be affected during the wet season, so travel, timing and the practical details of support are discussed and confirmed in advance.
